TASSSP Family:

It is with sorrow that I inform you of a tragedy that has hit one of our former Trio colleagues. KC Gaehring, a former Trio employee in the Houston, Texas area has lost her only son, Parris Gaehring.

Parris was tragically killed from a gunshot wound. He and his friends were traveling and one of them had a gun and it went off striking Parris. Please see link for Fox 4 News, news clip.

KC was a single parent who worked hard every day to make ends meet, which as we all know is a difficult thing for any of us to do in today’s economy. Unfortunately, KC recently lost her job which makes things even more difficult for her financially.

The funeral is today (10/29/08) being held at Golden Gate Funeral Home, 4155 S. R.L. Thornton at An arbor in DeSoto, TX. I’m sure time is not permissible for most of us to attend the funeral. However, in lieu of flowers the family welcomes contributions which will significantly help with funeral arrangements and other family necessities.

I’m sure most of you remember KC and can remember that she was an active member of TASSSP, conducting several sessions at both state and regional conferences. Therefore, we are asking that you come to the aid of one of our former Trio family members with what ever assistance you can provide. The TASSSP Board will be expressing condolences. In reference to contributions, no amount is too small.
